TCBC (Twin Cities Bicycling Club) is hosting the 31st Annual Watermelon Ride kicking-off in Battle Creek Regional Park in Maplewood. You can participate in rides of 15, 25 and 50 miles and ends with a 4th of July picnic. You get full support for the 15 and 25 mile routes. You can register day of by filling out the registration form.
Frank Wicker Great Scott 50 Classic Bike Ride is going down in Prior Lake. It starts at Memorial Park (3384 Spring Glen Cir NW) be sure to visit the website for full info;
The Frank Wicker Great Scott 50 Classic Bike Ride will be on July 4, 2012. Brochure Check-in begins at 7:15 am and the 50-mile ride begins with a mass-start at 8:00 am sharp when riders will enjoy a police escort from Memorial Park in Prior Lake to the city limits. The route winds through the rolling hills and countryside of Scott County. Riders pedal west to Jordan and then wind southeast to New Prague before returning to Memorial Park. There will be three rest stops along the way with the main stop in New Prague with a variety of refreshments including Gatorade, water, fruit, and kolaches. Restrooms will also be available. Two smaller stops are planned along the route with one in Jordan and another in-between New Prague and Prior Lake for riders to replenish their cold drinks. Helmets are required.
Finally, The Hiawatha Bicycling Club is putting on the 13th edition of the Tour D’Amico Bicycle Tour. It kicks-off at the Preserve Village Shopping Center in Eden Prairie, MN and you can choose from 3 different supported routes (29, 46, and 63 miles) which include hydration breaks along the way and rest stops at D’Amico & Sons restaurants, followed by a D’Amico & Sons Italian buffet lunch.
